Lake District Paintings | Original Watercolour & Soft Pastel Paintings | Limited Editions

I have been visiting the lake district to go walking and climbing for as long as I can remember and when I was younger vowed to myself that one day I would live here.  I am very happy to say that I managed to fulfill that goal and now live there. What this means of course is that now I have lots of opportunities to visit some of my favourite spots to sketch & take photo’s with the aim to painting and thus sharing some of the beautiful scenery and places that are in abundance in the Lake District.

​The lake district is a place that will bewitch anyone and quite frankly if you come to the lakes and don’t fall in love with the place then you have no soul! When I first took my wife who is from London to visit the lakes she was curious as to why I was so passionate about the place. Now several years later whenever we are away she is always glad when we leave the motorway on the way home and get our first glimpse of the mountains she has come to love as much as I do.

They do say home is where the heart is and although I love my homeland of Scotland I think my heart now is most definitely here in the Lakes!
