This was painted while whiling away the time at the first PromArt event of 2018. I think it was probably inspired by the weather on the day which wasn’t great. It was one of those typical lake district days where it seems like you are getting all four seasons in one day.
Nevertheless the sun did come out eventually and a good time was had by all and I got a lovely painting out of it so all’s well that ends well. The location I might add is not anywhere that can be seen from my gazebo at Grange but rather one that was made up on the spot. Not sure where the idea came from but it has that Wasdale feel to it so maybe it’s time I paid another visit lol!
The original watercolour painting is 350mm x 250mm and is available either framed or unframed.
