Title: A New Day – Original Watercolour Painting. This image is also available as a high quality Limited Edition Giclee Print. Painted by U.K professional artist Greg Howard
A New Day
As a Scotsman who has also lived in Derbyshire and who now lives in the beautiful Lake District I am well used to rain. It kind of comes with the territory in the U.K although you wouldn't think so considering how much we all like to complain about it - you would think we would have just accepted it by now!
I actually like the rain as an artist because a grey stormy wet day to me provides much more inspiration for painting than a day with a pretty blue sky. However that said I also love those moments just after the rain stops because the colours in the landscape are amazing. Everything looks fresh and vibrant like a new day and holds the promise of better things to come...usually more rain in most cases but it is nice to be idealistic occasionally 😂🤣.
This painting is about one of those brief moments where tha rain has stopped, everything is new and the air has a glimmer of hope in it.
The original watercolour painting is approx 510mm x 360mm and is available either framed or unframed.
