A Wintry Day

A Wintry Day

There are lots of little cottages and farms hidden away in remote corners of the British Isles many of which have been abandoned as people choose to move into towns & cities.

Why? Well although these places are extremely beautiful mainly because of their seemingly unspoilt nature very often with only one road in and out during the winter when the weather is bad many of these places are practically inaccessible.

It is then however that you witness the true character of the rugged, hardy individuals who continue to call these places home. They are well used to coping with what the elements can throw at them and they take it in their stride. After all if you need to hike a few miles down into the valley to go to the local shop to get a wee bottle of something to make up your evening hot toddy then that's what you've got to do and there's no point whinging about it is there!

Kind of makes the rest of us look a bit soft when we complain about a little shower and take the car to the corner shop 😂🤣

The original soft pastel painting is approx 600mm x 460mm and is available either framed or unframed.
