Title: Bluebells On The Knotts – Original Watercolour Painting by UK artist Greg Howard. Also available as a high quality Limited Edition Giclee Print
Bluebells On The Knotts
Although the Bluebell as a species can be found in several other countries across Western Europe we have as a nation laid claim to this little flower as ours and it is viewed by many of us as iconically British, up there with the Rose, Daffodils and Snowdrops.
This little flower is also known by a few different names - some of them very imaginative including English harebell, Wild Hyacinth, Cuckoo’s Boots, Granfer Griggles, Witches’ Thimbles, Lady’s Nightcap, Fairy Flower and Cra’tae (crow’s toes).
Whatever you call them what is universal is our belief that they are indicative of Spring and hopefully herald the onset of warmer & drier weather - if we're lucky!
One of the best places to see these in full glory is the Lake District and one place that is particularly famous for it's breathtaking display of Bluebells is Rannerdale Knotts which can be found at the end of Buttermere. If you get the chance one year get yourself down there it is worth the trip but until then here's a taster or maybe a memory for those of you who have already had the privilege.
The original watercolour painting is approx 510mm x 360mm and is available either framed or unframed.

Want Your Purchase Framed?
So you have picked out the perfect image for your wall but you can’t just hang it on the wall with drawing pins can you?…No, so now you have to go and get it framed. Not only do you have to go to the hassle of finding a good framer who knows what they are doing but then you have to pick out a moulding you like and a mount to go with it. You need to pick something that is going to enhance the art but also look good in your space and then because you are only getting one frame you will pay through the nose for it!Â
Well here’s an idea…….
….Why not just have me frame it for you!…..FREE OF CHARGE!!
That’s right I offer a 100% FREE framing service where all you pay for is the cost of the frame itself – how cool is that?!
I use high quality light-ash wood frames that provide a neutral high quality finish that will enhance rather than detract from the artwork and will sit well in any room. The frames are bare-faced which means if you don’t happen to like the colour of the natural wood in the frame you can change it to suit your taste with either stain, lime-wash, paint or varnish. As I purchase my frames in bulk and pass this discount on you won’t get a frame of this quality anywhere else at this price! It’s a no brainer really!
So if you have chosen an original and want it framed just choose the framed option in the options above. If you are purchasing a limited edition you can add a frame to your order by clicking the button below:
