FAQ'S

Skill Level:
What level do I need to be at to take part? – Although the class is predominantly aimed at students who wish to progress in watercolour if you can paint a basic watercolour wash you will be fine. The techniques I will show you are not difficult and can be used by anyone with a little practise.

Materials:
What equipment do I need to bring? – Just you usual paints & brushes is fine – don't go out buying equipment especially for the workshop. You will find it helpful to bring along a few larger brushes if you have them. I will be supplying drawing boards and watercolour paper for you to use on the day.

Can I buy materials at the workshop? – I will have a small range of materials available for sale at a discount such as paper, brushes, paints, boards and a few other bits'n'bobs but I would still recommend that you bring along your own equipment.

Parking, Lunch & Refreshments:

Is there on-site parking? – There is ample on-site free parking for students and the room is skip and a jump from the carpark.

Will there be lunch and refreshments provided? – I will be providing everyone with tea & coffee for the duration of the workshop as I am a fellow caffeine addict. Lunch is not provided however there is a cafe/tearoom on site that sell a selection of sandwiches and light lunches & snacks where we can reserve a table. You are also more than welcome to bring your own packed lunch if you prefer.

General:
Will we be painting outside? – This is not a plein air workshop so don't worry if the weather is a bit rubbish on the day.

Where is the venue? – The workshop will be taking place in the Coach House Loft at Brantwood House on the Eastern shore of Lake Coniston.
