I love being up in the mountains and some of my most precious childhood memories are from long walks up in the mountains whether that be here in the Lake District or back in Scotland (Yep I’m Scottish!).
People have for many years tried to figure out why we climb mountains and one George Mallory went down in history for saying that the reason he climbed Everest was “because it was there” however I think that is more to do with the fact that up in the hills it is you against nature. No one is there to judge you, no one cares what you look like or how fast you walk and nothing else matters except reaching that summit.
The original watercolour painting is 620mm x 420mm and is available either framed or unframed.
