One of the best ways to witness the sheer power and elemental force of nature I feel is when you are in close proximity to water. Whether that be on a beach with the waves crashing on to the rocks or up in the mountains standing next to a raging torrent pouring down the hill side.
As a keen hill walker I have had the chance to stand next to a great many of waterfalls up in the mountains that have been in full force just after a storm and they never fail to impress me especially when you can get to a vantage point where you can literally feel the spray on your face.
This painting is an attempt to recapture one of those very special moments!
