It's Nearly Golden Hour
Anyone who has walked for any length of time, especially those who take photographs or paint will be aware of the expression 'Golden Hour'.
The term "golden hour" typically refers to the period shortly after sunrise or before sunset when the sunlight is softer, warmer, and more diffused, creating a golden glow. Golden hour in the Lake District can be amazing.
The Lake District is well known for its beauty but during golden hour the dial on that wow factor gets ramped up to 10 and beyond when the sunlight casts a warm, golden hue over the lakes, mountains, and valleys, enhancing the already picturesque landscape adding a magical almost ethereal quality to the scenery.
I love this time of day and frequently seek to capture the magic of that special hour in my paintings. Here is yet another example for you!
I offer worldwide shipping using tracked services from a range of carefully selected couriers. If you are lucky enough to live here in the U.K and spend over £30 I'll also give you FREE delivery!
The original watercolour painting is approx 510mm x 360mm and is available either framed or unframed.
