Last Stile For Today

If you have ever done a full day walking the fells you will know the sheer sense of relief that very often descends on you almost immediately as you step of the last rung of the last rickety stile of the day.  The rush of endorphins can be almost overwhelming as your brain sends out a message to the rest of your weary body saying 'Ok guys, that's the torture over for another day. Fear not just hold it together for a little while longer. We'll be in the pub soon and we can forget about this ordeal until this idiot tries lugging us up yet another mountain. Let's get ready with the aches & pains to try and discourage him!
Yes the last stile of the day is almost symbolic as very often it also represents the last ascent for the day. And small as that ascent may be, depending on how long you have been lugging your tired weary bones around that day it can often at the same time feel like the steepest and most gruelling ascent of the day.
Here's to the last stile of the day!

I offer worldwide shipping using tracked services from a range of carefully selected couriers.  If you are lucky enough to live here in the U.K and spend over £30 I'll also give you FREE delivery!
