Perfect Spot For Lunch

Us hill-walkers are an easy bunch to please.

All we want is a great route for the day preferably with a pub at the end of it, somewhere to park relatively close to the start of our route, a half decent day weather wise, no eejits and most importantly...

A great spot where we can rest our weary legs and munch on our butties! This can be the one thing that differentiates between just a good day and a great day!

It's the simple things that make a difference you know! 😂🤣

Anyway, this painting is my recollection of one such spot that we came across when out walking a wee while back where just as our stomachs were starting to growl at us indicating it was time for our butties we went round a corner and through a break in the wall and came across a beautiful quiet little tarn. There was even a little bit of grassy bank right in the sun for us to sit.

And absolutely no eejits!  In fact, we had that little tarn all to ourselves that day - Perfect!
