This has got to be the iconic lake district view and has graced the covers of countless calendars and books, it's even on my own 2017 calendar. So as part of the lake district series I thought I would give it a bash and to be honest I wasn't too happy with the initial results at first and felt it needed something.
So, I left the painting sitting round the studio for a day or two and decided what it needed was some of that famous lake district weather - so I made it rain! I am now very happy with the result, not quite sure what that says about me as a person but C'est la vie!
The original watercolour painting is 360mm x 260mm and is available either framed or unframed.
