Seclusion
Sometimes the simplest of subjects provide the most impactful paintings.
Â
This was one such painting! And the fact that this is also a large painting helps it make even more impact.
Â
I painted this with a very limited colour scheme of basically just two colours because I wanted all my focus to be concentrated on creating contrast and drama throughout the painting.
Â
The dark shape of the headland sits dramatically silhoutted against the stormy sky provides a fantastic foil for the calm wet beach below. With the lone figure on the beach looking up at the threatening sky all adding to the drama.
Â
Very chuffed with this one, hope you like it too!
The original watercolour painting is approximately 700mm x 500mm and is available either framed or unframed.
