Hill walking is a very, very rewarding past time not only does it give you a great sense of achievement but it is a great form of exercise and also gives you the privilege of seeing places that the vast majority of people will never have the chance to see.
One of the most rewarding sights on a walk and the one that spurs climbers on the most I think is that first tantalizing glimpse that you get of the summit that you are aiming for. Once spotted it seems to have a magnetic effect on you. Your eyes keep being drawn up to it every five minutes and your legs regardless of how tired they are seem to find new life as you edge closer and closer to your final goal for the day.
