Another fantastic place to go for a wander and even better if you hang around long enough to watch the sun setting over it.
This is Stanage Edge which even though it is only 25 metres in height is home to some of the best rock climbing routes in the U.K. The edge is also home to the longest recorded rock route in the United Kingdom; the 5000 m Girdle Traverse, completed by Ron Fawcett in 1992 and graded "E5 6b(ish)" - not for the faint hearted!
