Up Above Coniston

This painting is based on a view looking down into the valley from the fells around Coniston.

The whole premise behind this painting was to recreate one of those typical Lakeland days that we are all familiar with. The type of day that you can only really describe as 'Grey'.😂🤣

The days where the landscape is reduced basically to a monochromatic vista where the view is constantly changing as the clouds scurry across the sky and the odd gap in the clouds lights up little slivers of the landscape providing you with a brief intermittent flash of colour as respite to the grey.

The days where the distant hills and clouds almost seem to be lovingly intertwined and it becomes impossible to differentiate between the various peaks.

Yup! Grey days can be a bit special!

I offer worldwide shipping using tracked services from a range of carefully selected couriers.  If you are lucky enough to live here in the U.K and spend over £30 I'll also give you FREE delivery!
