Lake Ullswater is a beautiful place to visit and I have a great many special memories associated with this place from when I was a child all the way through to adulthood. I even lived in Pooley bridge at one point which is at the northern end of the lake. This painting was done after looking through some holiday photos from a few years ago that were taken during a holiday we took to the Lakes in March - what were we thinking?!
As you can see the weather was not fantastic and I distinctly remember a trip on the Ullswater launch that week that felt distinctly like a trip through the ice-flows of Antartica. However we must have had fun regardless because it was not long after this holiday that we decided to move up to the Lakes - yep were hard core lol!
The original watercolour painting is 620mm x 420mm and is available either framed or unframed.
